Recent studies, including a 2026 University of Bristol survey, suggest that babies as young as 8-10 months may show early forms of deceptive behavior, like pretending not to hear, hiding objects, or crying strategically.

These are not real lies, but early experiments in social intelligence. What is your take on it?

Yes - babies definitely show early signs of deception

2. Maybe - but it is more like instinct than real lying

No - babies do not lie at all
(They are just reacting to their environment.)
